Oxford Learn will close at the end of 2025 After 30 November 2024, it will not be possible to enter new codes, register a new organization, create new classes, invite new users, or use a joining code to join a class or organization. Find out more here.
Yes, but you will need to enter some additional information when you first sign in, such as selecting a security question in case you forget your password, and agreeing to the Terms and Conditions.
Teachers and administrators can join an existing organization account that has been set up on Oxford Learn. Please speak to your organization administrator to ask for a joining code. See Joining a class or organization for more information.
If you are the school administrator or a private teacher, you can set up a new organization account by clicking Register an organization on the left and following the onscreen instructions.
Your students might be completing the exercises for self-study and not in your class.
Click Manage classes on the left and then click the Edit link next to the class name. Scroll down to the Users section. If the students’ names are there, and you cannot see their names in the Gradebook for the course, they have not completed the joining process in full.
Ask your students to sign in to www.oxfordlearn.com and click the Use content with [class name] button under the course.
Yes, you can. Enter the joining code given to you by your new organization administrator by clicking Join on the left and following the instructions onscreen.
Teachers and administrators can add most courses to a class without the need for an access code. Click the Edit link next to your class, then click Add a course to view a list of available courses.
Some courses require an access code before you can add them to your class. If you do not have a teacher or moderator access code for the course you would like to add, please contact your local OUP Representative.
When a class is created, the website automatically generates a Student joining code and a Teacher joining code for the class. Both are found under Joining codes when viewing the class.
You might not have followed the template correctly in your Excel/CSV file.
Please download the Error reportby clicking the Excel or CSV link in the Error report column to find out why the students were not imported and what to do to correct your file.
Teachers and administrators have unlimited access to most courses they have added to classes.
This does not apply to Oxford Teachers’ Academy (OTA) courses. Moderators can access these courses for 12 months.
In this case, they will have been working for self-study, but can join a class at any time (using the student joining code created by the system when an administrator creates a class).
When the student transfers from self-study to the teacher-led course they will need to start the exercises again.
Your students may be completing the exercises in a self-study course and not in your class.
Ask your students to sign in at www.oxfordlearn.com and click the Use content with [class name] button under the course title.
If your students do not see a link, it could be that they are using the course in the class, but have not started the course exercises yet. Ask them to enter the course by clicking the course title on their account.
Most of the activities are automatically accessible to your students.
To assign specific units to your students:
1.Click the Content tab.
2.Click on the relevant unit.
3.Click Add restrictions under the unit number and title.
4.Further options now appear:
•Set a start and end date to choose when a student can access the unit (note – they will not be able to access the exercises outside of the date range you choose).
•Set a due date to let students know of the deadline (note – they can still access the exercises after this date).
5.Click Update.
You can assign content unit by unit, or exercise by exercise.
To assign exercises, choose the exercise, click on the arrow next to the exercise, select Edit Properties and repeat the steps above from step 2.
No, they don’t. They can either refer to the Planner or view Upcoming Tasks on the left of the content area in the course.
You can send students a message if you would like to by clicking Add a message on your home page or clicking Add message on the Manage class page.
